Waiting for the postman

After

Before

Picked up some door cards didn't realise they had an extra speaker in until I went to fit them, the ones that came on the car looked a bit tatty. I'll wire them up together see what it sounds like ... if not I'll run a small amp to the bigger ones. Not really got a plan just see what happens.

Radio

Eventually finished installation.
Not difficult just time consuming. Kit was from connect 2 with a little bit of help from the dremel everything is good.

Quick update
After a month or so of driving at night the brightness of the screen was getting annoying. I actually thought the orange wire on the adaptor kit was for the dash lighting but after pulling the radio out it seems to be that on the original landrover block there isn't a wire that connects to the orange one.
Had to laugh at my own stupidity for thinking there would be a wire there.

Anyway the top switch panel the one with the hazard lights has a green connector on the back, the second one in on the top row is the dashboard lighting wire (red with a brown tracer). I connected the orange wire to this.

Switch the lights on and the radio display dips !!!

Crap pic I Know but you get the idea.

Hope this helps someone.

Just had a smile at this one, looking at the number of views compared to replies, most threads attract maybe 300 views for two pages of replies, not this one, well over over a thousand. Laughing
