I have a nanocom unlocked for my td5 and v8 Discovery 2 so I'm thinking extended for my D3.
Anyone using it how happy are with it?

Not sure if it will work on a D3. Everyone is now using the IID tool for diagnostics. Much better customer service from Patrick at GAP Diagnostics.
There's an IID BT for sale in Parts and Accessories. You would be much better going with that. 2013 RR Vogue SE SDV8

IID is not only diagnostics! It is the surplus, like updates, firmare, configurations etc what makes a IID worth the money…
IID can do more than any other tool (expept jlr itself) Best regards

Not quite 'everyone' - Autel & Foxwell do some good kit as do others, it depends how much 'fiddling' with the CCF for example, you want to do.
If you just want to read live values, read & clear DTC's, actuate EPB, reset SAS etc. then there are better value diagnostics than the Gap IID.

The Nanocom will work on a disco 3 as I’ve got one.
But when I changed the car to a Range Rover sport they don’t do a licence for the L494.
So bought a Gap and to be honest find the Gap a lot nicer to use and the support has been excellent.
Also bought a second licence for my mates disco 3 (who has a nanocom) as there are things that the gap can do that the Nanocom can’t (disco 4 sat nav in a disco 3).

I have used Nanocom for years, on D2 and currently my D3 and Freelander 2 i6, no problems found and the support is there when needed, never bothered with IID tool, some people have said the Blackbox support was not good for them, so really its up to you D3 4.4 V8 2005 sadly now gone

When I had an issue with my Fault mate, the support from Blackbox was absolutely useless and quite offensive at times. Then when I had the fault mate stolen from my car, Blackbox insisted I had to not only buy new hardware (which I expected) but I would have to buy new licenses as well!! 2013 RR Vogue SE SDV8
