Nanocom Evo Upgrade V1.28 & 1.29 Beta released.
We are happy to announce the latest upgrade to the Nanocom firmware with V1.28 and the first 1.29 Beta version.
The release includes additional coverage for the Freelander II, menu reworking and some minor bug fixes.
Of greater interest to users on this forum, the beta contains:
ABS Bleed function - D3/D4/RRS
Rear Differential on demand self test function - D3/D4/RRS
Water in fuel reset function - D4/RRS 2010+
We have also updated Genesis to now prompt you for your VIN number at login, and not each time you change menu as many of you requested. Genesis is due to undergo further updates over the following few days which will include better search functionality for the flash files.
As always please let us know your thoughts. All comments and suggestions welcome.
ABS Bleed will be useful as I'm planning a fluid change next service. Current: Discovery 3 06MY (55 reg) HSE Auto Zambezi Silver Allisport Fast Road Intercooler, V8 Brakes, Silicone IC Hoses, EGRs Blanked, Remapped, De-Cat pipe, FBHIC

Previous: FL2 56 reg SE Manual Black (written off )

Ditto the above. I've just recently aquired a load of DOT 4 fluid from Steve at Advanced Factors, along with a one-man bleed kit. Was happy to just be doing the final, caliper side of the system but if we can now do the full system via the Nanocom then brilliant
Might need to get some more fluid of course... Cheers,
Gareth

Is anybody else having problems when logging into Genesis? When I log in I enter my VIN and then all I get is a picture of a D3 and a back button Cheers Ian

Is it neccesary to replace the SD card files with each upgrade or are these unchanged from previous revisions?
If they do get updated, it might be nice to have some kind of revision number info with the download link so that we know whether to update or not Clive

Clive. I have just posted same question on Nanocom forum as I was confused by the SD down load instructions.2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Hi Guys,
The SD cards files are not updated nearly as frequently. We can introduce versioning if most people would prefer it but we had thought it might all get a bit much, and so preferred to use the time stamp.
Each time the files do require updating, the release notes do state it, and we have also introduced flags and popups on genesis regarding updating, so there is quite a few ways we get the info out there.
I will have a review and possibly update the SD card files versioning. Thanks for the input.
