This is a standard answer they send out very quickly.
If you ask further, it will take much longer or you won't get any answer at all...
Dutch marketing. Try TomTom if you need satnav in CEE the tele atlas maps tho not as good as Navteq do cover a greater area.
Checking the TomTom site looks like Tomtom NV. are trying to take over Tele atlas NV.

c'est dit: Brel est pas mal du tout | Il boit pour oublier qu'il vit

Do you have any more news on this? It's pretty odd for LR to sell the sat nav knowing there is no possibilty to use it.

not talking to yourself!
i am following this topic with interest
the only thing i can add is that promises of a dealer in this matter are not to be relied on too much....
Otherwise I would have had it already 2 years.....

This could be where my theory falls down, of course

Hello guys,
I bought new navigation DVD p/n YIW 500260 meant for Europe 2007-2008, marked as latest issue for our part of the world ( central Europe)...I did so directly from U.K., because no one Dealer in our country was able to offer me new database in that time ( November 07). Prior to purchase I checked point finder (called there as Map Reporter) at NavTeq web site and I was surprise how detailed their map would work in my Landy..... but there was some disappointing because "Eastern" countries are not covered such precisely in detail as we wish to be. On other hand there is a lot of improvements and I did not find "blind" areas in Czech Republic in the part where my previous version (YIW 500200) showed just empty fields. By other words, new freeway or jsu their parts, completely all roads of 1st and 2nd class and some roads of 3rd class work perfectly, what is more then enough to find save way from point A to B one without wandering around unknown roads and intersections. Also number of new point of interests are booked there, so it can make Your travelling easier.
Regarding Croatia I just have checked some places randomly and I have to state that there are only International roads as Adriatic Arteria with major well known cities visible around the seacoast, but who wants more...I appreciate even this possibility.
Generally says I am not surprise, because new map comes on one dual layer DVD, so data capacity is fully used there and there is only one way how to improve data contents in future: to divide the database onto several DVDs, like Toyota does for the same Denso system on their LCs.
Cheers
