Nearside headlamp socket/plug 06 plate

Hi all,

Trying to wire in a set of driving lamps, but have now come to issue regarding which wire is the main beam feed on the plug side of the headlamp unit.

According to the book of lies (Haynes) it should be the BLUE wire with the SLATE stripe.... well it feckin well aint on my car... lol

Have taken a multi tester to the socket on the headlamp unit and found 3 live wires that seem to feed the main beam bulb, which seems odd in it's self but i'm still confused as to which wire it should be on the plug side, is there somewhere on here a diagram of the plug / socket which shows the correct location of the wires for.....

side light bulb
headlight bulb
main beam bulb
indicator bulb
earths... which i presume are teh 2 black leads ?

I'll try and upload a photo or two of what i mean if i can get the phone to talk to the PC Very Happy Very Happy

blue/slate looks next to the black on this one.

on main beam, you will also have dip beam and side lights on.

Move to dip beam, and main should turn off.

You will need to use a relay.
