Need a new battery ,, I got a great deal here
I bought a new battery yesterday which exceeeds the Land Rover specs. I must say how ever my L/R battery was the original battery from 2005 . Still it started to loose its power really fast , over night down to 10 volts so it had to be replaced.
I dont know if I am allowed to name the supplier but I will and if the admin need to remove it then so be it.
It was Europart, The battery was an Exide Premium, it size was 100 a/h and CCA 0f 900. The price is £103.14 incl vat and delivery, however at the moment you can get an online discount of 15% by quoting battery15 at the checkout so price reduced to £87.67. A very good price for a premiium battery. Fits like a glove. 4 year guarantee.

A very good price and please keep us informed as to how it goes. The D3 is notoriously fussy on batteries due to the exceptional drawn (battery spec is 950cca) and unusually high charging rate (beyond the published spec of most batteries). That said, it took 3 revisions of battery and a change to the cars software in 2006 before Land Rover got it right. Even then, one battery was withdrawn as it could not cope with the D3 environment. Battery technology has improved along the way and it would be great if more non-OEM batteries could be fitted without drama.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

my original landrover battery that I removed yesterday was 90 a/h with a cca of 800 !!! It lasted 7 years ...... so I guess my new one at 100 a/h and cca of 800 should be better still got a 4 year guarantee and Autoparts recommended this one so it it goes bad hopefully they will honour their guarantee.

Just looked at the 105k service and coming in at either £461 or £499 so very good value. Have been looking at franchise garages just for the cambelst and up north the cheapest is £420 so will be getting in touch Monday.

If you go to the Europart website and enter your reg, you will be offered a selection of batteries. The "battery15" discount code seems to apply to all of them, including the Bosch with a 5 year guarantee.

Went to pick mine up today, as they handed it over I noticed some of the plastic protection on the battery was broken , told me no problem it's just the trim, started walking off with it and noticed the plastic trim on the back was broken also
So I took it back in and said I don't want this one it's been bashed, they only had that one so offered me an alternative, a Bosch for roughly the same price, checked and it wasn't the same cca, only 800 instead of 900cca, so refused that also
Now I've got another 20 mile trip tomorrow to pick up one they've ordered

Picked it up today and fitted, even with the messing about still a great deal
I ordered one on Saturday evening and it arrived today 15 minutes to swap it over and SWMBO very happy as her car starts instantly again

Worth checking the physical size of the battery. The Bosch S5 that I collected was too long for the Disco3 battery box. This despite their website saying it was compatible with my reg no!
