Need some psychological support...

Hi,
maybe I made a mistake Banging Head
I ordered a LR Disco4 SE with loads of optional stuff. So far so good. Beautiful car for sure Zambezi Silver
But : after I signed the purchase order, i started reading in the forum and, honestly, it made my stomach turn around Big Cry
I am SO nervous that this thing is just as unreliable as some of the cars som poor blokes describe in this forum. Thing is, I'll use it thousands of miles away from the next dealership, in the middle of Africa. What have I done?!?!!? Aaarrghh Banging Head Banging Head Banging Head
I need a pint of beer and someone hugging me and telling me that everything will be fine. PLEEEASE

You're in Harare. You either have much worse things to worry about or can make people take the problem away. It could be worse; you could have ordered Accelera Iota tyres for your ride.

Well, see, NoDo$h, sometimes I actually planned to leave Harare for a moment or two... and then? Push it back? Laughing

I think living here makes you, well, sort of an optimist. Hey! Maybe that's the most essential quality for being a Disco owner?!

The secret is to always head uphill when driving away from home. That way you have a chance to coast back Thumbs Up

Seriously, I'm thinking of cancelling everything and getting a LandCruiser (boerk, hate the idea) instead. Is there ANYBODY in this forum who never had a problem with its Disco4 ?

South Africa 2013 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 HSE Auto Ipanema SandDiscovery 4

I've seen D3's with 300'000 Kms on the clock and no major issues.
I'm hoping mine is one of those... 115'000 Kms at the moment, only components replaced so far,
Starter Motor (water damage) and 2xsuspension sensors, oh and gearbox input shaft seal at 60'000 Kms.
Occasional binge and bongs - Just the car being paranoid.

Oh and Dealer decided to replace both front and rear diffs due to some recall at 80'000 Kms. I was happy to get new diffs so just let it be.
Enjoy.....
