Have used these tyres in the past on an Audi Allroad in real extreme winter weather and ropes in the Alps - awesome!
So surefooted even on compacted snow and ice I had to see what they could do on a stretch of twisty country road with 4-8ft snow drifts either side, and despite pushing it beyond what I would normally call sane driving under those conditions, I never went off into the drifts, now I'm sure the was partly to do with the capabilities of the Quattro system, but not entirely. Hope that helps.
MrH LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
