I’ve only had my D3 for 5 months and 9k miles, but I don’t know what I would replace mine with if I needed to. I have driven a friends D4 and whilst it is a beautiful car, much quicker with mighty brakes it felt like it was missing something that makes the D3 so great. In addition another friend who is a LR mechanic keeps warning me off the D4, he is of the opinion that a bad D3 is better than a good D4 due to the constant issues they see in the workshop.
I am more likely to look for another D3 if I need to, but we will see when the time comes.

I hope you get yours sorted, this is a great thread that I have enjoyed following Thumbs Up

Sunroof drain fixed today. Pipe had split right in the corner but my god that CJB was a nightmare to get out!

Was convinced the hole in the drain was the problem bit flooded again this morning after rain last night.

Will replace drain with an OEM replacement as the fix we came up with might not be secure enough

The car is leaking water in a big way as found over an inch of standing water in the channel tonight.

Seat out carpet up followed by buckets and buckets of water poured violently at the sunroof, A pillar and door and absolutely nothing inside the car. Unbelievable.

Totally stumped by this bit approach now is to leave it dismantled and dry it all out. Hopefully when it rains the culprit will reveal itself. My mechanic offered to drill some holes in the floor and I'm not far off taking him up on it Laughing

Did fit a new grill the other day to cheer myself up with all the water ingress issues. Freshens up the front by a few more years

Stu that's very kind of you.

If you have any experience of this issue or know your way around a D3 I might take you up on that Thumbs Up

Now of the conclusion that the leak was the perished sunroof drain and the wet foam was very wet convincing me there was another leak. It's been in bits for 2 weeks and its still wet. It's old enough it wont dry so have got some dehumidifiers in there as well as packing it out with tissue every day. Replaced the scuttle panel yesterday and will do the passenger side A pillar for good measure

Seeing your cherished car hauled off on the back of a big yellow taxi is all part of the LR ownership experience. Thumbs Up

Maybe the key to ownership is to buy a recovery truck and just stick the Disco on the back if it Laughing
