Where did you source the V8 D4 from if you don’t mind me asking.
D4 with the 5.0 Petrol is on my bucket list.
LHD I’m assuming and I suppose you could have been living in The States
Lovely looking D4 by the way.Discovery 4 HSE

Indeed. It was a LHD version while in the Mid East. Funny the spec there. Nearly every single one was only an SE model, but they had their own regional standard spec. All had 7 seats, rear air-con, and a few other goodies usually only found on the higher end models here.
That engine was an absolute beast though. 375hp / 375 torque (508nm). I off-roaded the hell out of it on sand dunes in 40+C heat for 5 years. Nothing went aside from LCA wear and tear. Also the water pump leak / crossover pipe leak under warranty that they were all known for.
As much as I loved the motor, I am not sure I would want the 17 mpg avg petrol bills here in the UK!2016 D4 HSE Lux

I think those are the anthracite colour ones. I had the same on my Indus Silver D4, which looked great.
My order today was for a set of black PD1881s.
Quick question.. any advice on TPMS sensors? Reading some posts here about different revision AA or AB part numbers and a guessing game which the truck is fitted with. Any ideas for my early 2016MY D4? Will Topix tell me? Thinking I might need to call my local LR Service Center and ask tomorrow.2016 D4 HSE Lux

Yeah hence the question re black, I think mine will eventually end up that colour.
As for TPMS see Dan @ Duckworth LR spoke to him last week and he says there are only 1 type for my model year so cant go wrong and he can get both OEM and LR versions. I may just take them out of my old wheels and get them refurbed yet, still deciding D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo

Thanks.
Don’t expect much better mpg from your oil burner. They’re not bad on a run at about 30ish but around the houses don’t expect much better than low 20’s
Factor in a few pennies less for UL petrol and probably not too much in it.
Factor in a big grin for instant supercharged response and no laggy turbo, a little tinker with the exhaust for a lovely tone. Petrolhead Heaven and I’d have one in a heartbeat.

Hi Surfrider
Don’t know if you are already aware, but worth getting an RLD spare wheel protector (you need the correct one for your model. Forum member RLD can help you) and stowing /securing removable towbar if you have one (I don’t so don’t have the detail, but plenty of advice on here.
Replied to your PM about my solution for rear light security.
CheersGary

Found a couple pics of my old 2013 D4 while living abroad in Qatar.
Tyres were 285/60/18 Nitto Dune Grapplers on Compomotive 18" wheels.
Also found an old video driving off the face of a dune. Camera really doesn't do it justice. It was very tall and STEEP as f***!
Bonus.. crank up your audio to hear the beautiful LR 5.0L V8 engine with a Magnaflow exhaust.
