NEW BATTERY

My car's battery is nearly 4.5 years old and this winter has given it a bit of a pasting. The car is used daily and my commute to work is almost 20 miles so it's not as though it's doing a lot of short, stop/start journeys but the poor old battery is getting noticeably weary. I frequently get the old HDC and/or Special Programmes not available messages, especially when really cold so decided yesterday to bite the bullet and get a new battery.

Did a bit of research on this site and decided to go for the Varta AGM Ultra Dynamic model (Varta DIN: 595 901 085) from here:

Pricey I know but they will price match if you can find it cheaper - they quite happily agreed to undercut these http://www.battery2u.co.uk/AGM-batteries/V...es-G14-AGM.

Ordered it yesterday lunchtime, was notified of dispatch by email at 2pm and the battery arrived at 9am today - how's that for service

Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills
