Do tires in Sweden have to have the speed rating specified (or higher) in the registration document?

For example, my vehicle is approved for:

255/55R19 111H 8,0JX19 53.0
255/60R18 112H 8,0JX18 53.0
235/65R18 110H 8,0JX18 53.0

H = 210 km/h.

Duratracs are sold as being rated for speed Q = 160 km/h.

However, for inspection purposes (and in accordance with law) in Finland one can install a lower rated tire as long as it is Q or higher.... if one applies a sticker to the dashboard that states so. Whistle in practice nobody does and neither do they check them anymore at inspection time. The speeding tickets are prohibitively expensive if you exceed 10 km/h over legal limit - they’re calculated from taxable income - so it functions as deterrence enough.

This is a country specific exception to the EU directive and would be illegal elsewhere - like if I drove with them in Germany.

Hi,
looked at the car register.
The information about tires is
"Däckdimension
255/55R19 111V"

Do not know what this means.

I have never bothered about ratings for Land Rovers.

Understand this is an issue for faster cars with younger drivers.

By the way. This is for my 2011 Disco 4.

The Disco3 G4 was originally with 19" MTR tires.
Have now also a set 18" Cooper ATR
And a set 17" Cooper for winter

Doesn’t seem like anyone cares about it there, then Laughing

But Swedish law says summer tires have to have a speed rating equivalent or exceeding the vehicle’s designed maximum speed while with winter tires it’s enough if they’re 160km/h rated. Thumbs Up

There is a list with approved winter tires.
Other tires are not allowed during winter season.
