New compressor installed but still the suspension fault!!
Upon the dealers diagnoses I replaced the air suspension compressor this morning.
Unfortunately I still have the suspension fault. Mostly amber, sometimes red with the 30mph max warning.
Have I done something wrong?
- When I started I did not lower the corners. At the moment the frontside is a bit lower than the backside. It shows also on the 4x4 screen.
- Special programms are avaiable.
- Compressor fires up. I removed the relay and crossed the 2 terminals to get some air in.
- I disconnected the battery to reset the electronics and to clear the fault messages.CLUB ILLEGAL CAR WASHERS

There is a bulletin out stating that the suspension ECU needs new software after replacing a compressor, however this shouldn't affect your car. Do you know what faults were stored by the dealer?
If you car is an early D3 could be a wiring issue.

Mine did that, then a week later it just stopped displaying any faults. I also had a pressure sensor or something replaced (someone will know the right name) sits near the compressor.
Mines been fine since then.

No a mate who is ex Land Rover happened to have a new unused compressor, so saved me a small fortune. When he fitted the new one faults still showed and compressor didnt work, even using fault clearing stuff at work. Then a week later it just started working. He had already ordered the other part it fits near the compressor under the compressor cover, so he fitted that anyway. Its been fine since then.

Mine got diagnosed by LR as needing a new compressor, but in the end it was just this wiring that was corroded as well

Hey Renton
Had my D3 in for MOT they showed me a wiring loom by the rear suspension on both sides which had started to rub on the strut they advised me to tape it up or it would cause funny suspension errors. When I looked at it some cables were nearly through to the cores have since taped up. May not be your problem but worth a look
