Following its 3rd trip into my dealers, it has finally been agreed that the compressor is running too slow to keep up with height changes!
The part is on critical back order with LR themselves as apparently there isn't one in the country!
Any ideas from the knowledge base on here how long i'm likely to have to wait?

If your D4 is laid up and not drivable and LR are still currently building D4's, you should escalate via LR and demand for one to be 'line pinched'.
I did this in the early days of my D3 when my transfer box went, my D3 was off the road and I was given a lead time of 6 - 8 weeks!
Not happy that as an existing LR owner I was being neglected in favour of new customers, I escalated this with LR and had a transfer box 'pinched' from the production line and at my dealer the following day!!
Following day I received a hamper of goodies courtesy of LR.
But, sadly [as I suspect] your D4 isn't off the road due to this so possibly you'll just have to grin and bear it! ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

No she's not laid up, been to pick her up tonight.
Apparently most D4s are fitted with a Hitachi compressor that is prone to a fault. When the Hitachi plant was damaged in The Tsunami, LR had to find an alternative sharpish so they bought them off AMK for a limited chassis run, to keep the line going.
Now that Hitachi compressors are failing, LR technical will not allow them to be replaced like for like, they HAVE to fit AMK now, of which there are none.
Thought maybe they could have fitted a Hitachi one while they wait for an AMK but alas, NO!
Madam TLO, the site clairvoyant has one in stock, but he needs that just in case, can't blame him for sticking hold of it!
Frustration is, if they had believed me when it first went in weeks ago, it would have been fixed now! If you aren't living life on the edge, you're taking up too much space!!

A friend here (Baggy) also has an intermittent fault on his D4 compressor, and faced with a 2 week wait to get a new one installed. I hope it is not contagious!
