Don't give up hope Spiker, this guy used to run Coopers 275/65/R18 Question http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2327567

He said they rubbed a little on the wheel wells but he was able to trim the spots with a dremel tool. Guess every truck is a little different Confused Good luck! Thumbs Up I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

Spiker that 's one of the main reasons I went for 17 " . That and the fact that I still maintain the same radius with a higher sidewall

Spiker, I have the 275/65/18 STT's, and they rub in exactly the same places as the Nitto's. For some strange reason I don't have clearance issues in access mode as Richard had. I suspect small differences in wheel alignment are the cause. I am happy with the STT's and happy to live with the little bit of rubbing at full load. I suspect that we could stop quite a bit of the rubbing if we could get better damping in the rear. I have a long-shot plan, but have to get my hands on a set of rear suspension units first

Spiker have a look on my gallery under Scorpio trail, there Heine got converted from BF's to Coopers is the rubber Bow down . We really "mashed up " the mud pool then I held the lorry with the brake and revved it up dropped the brake with the hope I can get it stuck Mr. Green no luck mud was flying all over.

As Heine said go Cooper but go 245 60 17, Same wheel diameter, no rubbing and as you can see on Heine's pics the look Thumbs Up As soon as I get my 17" rims Ill join the Cooper brigade. White LR3 TDV6 2007

Also remember to the 70 profile gives you more flex in the tyre - so less chance of tyre damage

I'm checking on the availability of these factory [factory rims, right?] rims. If so, I'll get a set and finally mount the mud terrains.

If you mean my rims - no they are BMW X5 knockoffs which cost the same price for 6 as what I would pay for one LR rim . Shocked
