New D4 - What are these?

What are these?. ALSO, does anyone think the clock is really really naff and cheap looking?. Just be looking through the pictures and I think it sticks out like a sore thumb!

It's got to be better than that cr*p little display on the radio - which is all I've got.
(Silly thing is, all the D3's with sat-nav are getting a really accurate time signal from the satellites too!) 2005 D3 HSE

Does looks a bit crap, but I think just about all wood effects and in the majority of cases genuine wood (and I don't think you can count 'piano black' as a wood ) look a bit naff in the majority of vehicles Neutral
Morris Travellers and plywood Maxi dashes may be the only exception Very Happy The End
