XS is now SE tech
HSE is still HSE ... And HSE Lux is still the sameG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Was passing the dealership today so called in as had missed a call from them the other day, got a build date of 18/08/2014 and a delivery date of 02/09/2014 so only 62 days to go As I said in an earlier post mine will have the Incontrol apps fitted and asked today about the Incontrol Secure but apparently this isn't going to be an option on the Discovery
They have a D4 XXV in the showroom today, bargain at £69995 Salesman said they had already sold one and had a lot of interest in this one Cheers Ian

A tad worried. Just ordered am SE Tech and have been told end of September or beginning of October. This seems really quick compared to some of the waiting times on here!

my XS was ordered on May 15th and been given an end of November delivery. that's down to the dealer over selling their allocation, so they cant get the cars from LR quick enough. for those dealers that havnt sold their allocation, then the delivery time will be less
spoken to them today and looks like i'll be getting an MY15 SE TECH as a replacement. ive got a spreadsheet of the MY15 specification and it doesn't look like the spec has reduced, plus ive got a price hold to the price I agreed in May.Duncan

Not sure if RHD and LHD is the same, but I just got off the phone with my dealer.

Mine is a UK military tax paid car, so I wonder if there are separate allocations for military orders.
DiscoDunc - the SE Tech spec includes Xenons in addition to the old XS spec, not sure if it includes anything else additional.Discovery SE Tech Santorini Black - ordered for Sep/Oct!

We'll getting closer
Due 1st or second week in September so came forward by a couple of weeks from the original estimate back in May.
At the eleventh hour I changed the spec and added a few things like sig lights etc...
Before I knew it I was speccing up to the se tech and that didn't make good after sales sense..
so I've changed to the se tech....
Black pack sunroof and tow bar - at least it's now too late to add any extras - already over budget.
Dealership where real good though held my discount right through and cracking finance offer on balance.
So if the cars a good n I'll be back
Funny thing is I haven't even had a test drive of a modern disco
Been more than 15 years since I owned a new one of these, guess I'll notice a change.
