new D4 owner gearbox warning light
hi folks been looking for a discovery for a while and finally bought one last week .2012 d4 sdv6 120odd thousand miles and part service history . not the tidiest thing on the road but there was something about it i liked and it was cheep ish for its age .so first impressions drives lovely no noises runs straight pulls well great .halfway home ping the first warning light gearbox fault oh well here we go any way it drove the rest of the way home with the light on but no discernible difference in driving .code is p0741 its booked in for the belts and a diagnosis .the garage think we should maybe give it a flush and new fluid we shall see . but anyway even with this bad start i am looking forward to using it

Not sure on the code but get the battery & alternator checked. Gearbox warnings one of the first to flash up.______________________
