New D4 - Tow-ball and load-liner issues |
|
just taken delivery of a black HSE with tow pack and cameras. Tow ball would not fit carrier but Landrover assist ...assisted with a lump hammer..need to call at dealership to get it out. took the tin tent to scotland 400 miles round trip mpg shows about 22. Only 250 miles on clock so seems ok.
Not happy with landrover flexible load liner..doesnt fit... suction cups to hold up sides? hope landrover will let me swop for hard alternative...but is this likely as I have used it once. Any advice?

I would like to say what a fantastic vehicle this dico4 is. Very smooth and a great all round 7 seater and family van.
Would also like to commend Stratstones in Pickering for their excellent service to date, both in supplying the vehicle and dealing with the towball issue.
I returned the flexible loadspace protector to the other dealership I bought it from. The parts guy told me 'they r crap these they all get brought back,
Still the rubber mat alternative I got looks the part.
Also want to say have gained some great tips from the site ..thanks.

have you considered a hatchbag boot liner? several people rate them highly Prince Harry's D3: G4 factory equipped D3 - expo rack, winch, roof lights, ladder, active locking rear diff, RAI, Melville & Moon seat covers, General Grabber ATs/ Goodyear Duratrac

Wow, you did a 400 mile round trip and ended up with only 250 miles on the clock? Cheaper servicing if it does less miles than it actually does!

Oops....shouldnt post after drinking beer.... should have said started trip with only 250 miles on clock. Still if you can't rely on fellow disco enthusiasts to keep you right you might as well give up.
