Out of those choices I would go for the blue option, had 2 blue D4's in the past and really like it Thumbs Up

If you have a heated steering wheel all year round, you will notice that it's actually fairly easy to knock it on by accident in the summer, which is pretty nasty and (given 20,000 miles' use) you can see all of the heater elements in relief in the surface of the leather.

Anyway, congrats to peteyd on managing to secure one of the last of the D4's! Thumbs Up

Definitely not black; blue looks good.

Heated steering wheel is a must IMHO, after 70k miles in my D3 I wouldn't be without it & you can't see any of the heater elements in relief in the surface of the leather. Thumbs Up

We may not be the best family for washing and polishing our cars... does the Corris Grey hide the odd splash of mud and occasional scratch better than the Santorini Black? And what about the Loire Blue - as a dark colour I imagine it is more like the black.

Same here, similar mileage, no heater elements are showing and I've never knocked it on in error.

Does your dealer have any in you can look at? Grey is nice but with the wheels and grill it is a bit too much, someone else recently ordered a grey one with silver wheels for that exact reason.

I'm going to pop in to the dealer on Friday to have a look. The main problem is that I think all the combinations look great, I know I can't make a mistake from an aesthetic point of view. We are trading up from an 8 year old VW Touran so we just can't lose.

However, the Touran is black and gets washed about as often as my teenagers shower, so like them, it always looks grubby. Plus, the paint has been marked by the gallons of sun cream my wife makes the kids wear the moment it stops raining. For these reasons, the Corris Grey (with either type of wheels) is high on the list if the view is that it is more forgiving than the black. I know silver is renowned for being good at hiding a lack of cleaning, but it is the one colour my wife is refusing to countenance.

I've seen loads of photos of the Corris Grey on a Didcovery and it looks lovely - if you have one, does it hide the day-to-day grime of British roads, mud and handprints?

Cheers

PD

All the talk of heated steering wheels has sent me back to the accessories list. I've asked the dealer to add the heated steering wheel and extended roof bars. But that's it, no more "but the best accessory you must have is..."!

Corris Grey would be the one for me, looks 8) with the privacy glass.

I've got 3 kids of 14, 11 and 5 plus a dog - I can't think of a better family car to cart them and all their crap around, you'll absolutely love it.
Previously owned an '08 D3 HSE in Stornoway grey but jumped ship to see what the Swedes have to offer.

If you're lazy, don't have the time to keep your car clean or want to look the same as 60% of D4's out there then choose grey.

Black looks the best when clean and you will only get swirl marks/scratches if you don't clean your car properly or take it to a hand car wash. I have a black D4 and use the 2 bucket method whilst ensuring all dirt is thoroughly rinsed with a pressure washer before a wool mit goes anywhere near it.

Blue.. meh.

In the words of Ron Burgundy... "This is hard! I'm in a pickle"

Just phoned my dealer to talk about colour options, and he was no use at all. Kept saying it is personal preference and all options are good. One thing he did recommend was to go for the lighter wheels if I go for a darker car. So that just added another 3 combinations to my list (blue/grey/black bodywork x chrome/grey wheels).

One thing I don't think I have heard from anyone is first hand experience of Corris Grey and mud. I think several people have said it will disguise the mud and grime better than black, but no one saying that they have a Corris Grey and that that is their first hand experience. Or am I the only sloven on here who doesn't wash their car after every journey Whistle

The same question then about the wheels. Do the grey or chrome wheels look better day to day when caked in mud and UK road grime?
