Looks great, one ting that puzzles me though is that I did'nt have to do any cutting of trim or dash, I asked before buying and was told it was a straight swap of trims. Just enquiring as I did'nt want to think I did anyting wrong

Looks great.
Funny thing but no one else has mentioned having to cut the dash to make it fit?
Now it needs the silver top around the gear lever to match the top of the h-trim.
That's another bit I'll need to cost from TLO? 2005 D3 HSE 2011 D4 Landmark 2016 D4 HSE Lux

Thanx once again Nick
as for the cutting maybe my trim was slightly different , as the trim clips did get in the way . who knowns but it works for me and makes the D3 look 100% better as jcb would agree I have enough money to last me the rest of my life.Unless i buy something..

The fixing bar that passes through to the back of the H section to secure the wood has a clip on the back which stands slightly proud. There is a difference on the later models is that the panel behind the H section has a recess that allows for this.
On my H trim all it required was to snap the metal bar flush at the pre- grooved point to allow it to fit.
without that the h section would sit slightly forwards of its correct position by a few mil
When you refer to trimming the dash is it this that you are referring to?"its probably a virus, you'll be right as rain in a few days and if you're playing sport try to favour the other leg"

the side part of the "H" trim (the black part) is held on with a bar and clip ,clip is rather long , but i felt if you chop the bar theres a good chance it may slip out or rattle a tad , but i think we are on the same lines I have enough money to last me the rest of my life.Unless i buy something..

ok, Bornidle I owe you one. Took my HSE to garage for fuel and guess what.........
the left side of my H trim popped out at the bottom. after investigation, and much anger from the SWMBO saying why dont you leave things alone, I also need to cut a hole either side to allow for that poxy clip.
Not a great deal involved, just those extra clips that do nowt apart from fix the black wood to the H trim, but will not allow an extra tight fit.
Mine must have been under tension, and the 1st bump popped it................................Now fits perfect, with no tension.
