Hi, I have a 2007 tdv6 and I had the rear diff replaced at 30,000 , and the front diff replaced at 80,000 - god knows what they make diffs out of these days - In all my years of owning 4WD's I've never before had to replace a diff !!
Makes you wonder about reliability - what are the other big 4wd vehicles like these days , do they have as many problems ? 07 White TDV6 SE ,ARB bar & warn 9500 winch, Rhino aero racks, Thomas super pump compressor, duel batteries, Hella spotties, UHF. Mitchell Bros Tow Hitch, LED module (towing with LED taillights), General Grabber Tyres.

I know a couple of folks who have had two new engines each in the Tojo TDV8s. One LC200 and one from the 70 series utes. Many more second hand stories as well. Toyota had a warehouse full of new engines.
The diffs seem to be hit and miss with the D3/4/RRS some have had them fail others have gone on forever. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

It's interesting that LC200 diesels sold this year still have oil circulation problems within the block.
It has been over 4 years and they still haven't manufactured a fixed short block .......... pathetic !

Didn't (doesn't) the LC 100 series or is it 200 series have issues with diffs giving up the ghost early as well? regards
Peter

My brother has been winding me up about having a LR for years. He has a 100 series cruiser. He has been looking at the 200 series and has said his next vehicle will be a disco or RRS. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

I couldn't believe the rear seats can only be removed with a spanner ( and replaced for when you sell it on .. ) :
that's ridiculous really . Where the hell's the cargo volume with that farce !
