New owner Bluetooth confusion
Hi, I'm new to this forum having owned my 2005 D3 for just a couple of weeks. It's an SE model with HK HiFi and has the red and green telephone buttons on the right of the steering wheel. However it has no voice recognition button which I believe should be on the left of the steering wheel?
Anyway, there's no cradle in the arm rest and when I press the green telephone button the stereo says "Phone Mode" but then, no matter what buttons I press, I can do nothing with the stereo until I cycle the ignition.
I've tried to pair several mobile phones with the car but none of them can detect anything to pair with. My question is, does my car have bluetooth fitted and how do I get it working?
Any help would be much appreciated.
...One more thing - I'm thinking of taking it to Woodside Garage at Clophill http://www.woodside-landrovers.co.uk/ for a service and health check; can anyone recommed them?

You have , by the sound of it the LR aftermarket kit .It comes with the red / green steering wheel buttons , a mic fitted in the overhead light consul and 2 modules that are fitted to either side of the center consul.
The factory fit PTI kit comes with the speech button on the left hand side of the steering wheel and (pre 2008 ish ) would have the cradle under the center consul lid .
You need to make sure the ignition is on when searching for the bluetooth .Mine actually comes up as "Ford Audio "when its found and the pairing code is 0000.
It may be worth checking that the modules are in place .To do this you need to remove a torx screw at the base of the center consul and pull outwards the plastic ..you can then see in and see if the modules are there

When you push the green button ..does the woman say anything ..or do you get a beep (make sure the phone volume is up first though )G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Thanks for the response. When I press the green button the only thing that happens is the stereo cuts out and says "phone mode" on the display. No beeps, nothing.
The bluetooth on the 3 phones I've tried haven't recognised anything to pair with so I suspect it has broken?

There was a problem with the early modules ...they were changed for ones with newer software .
I had to change my bluetooth module due to simular problems .
The 2 modules cost about £210 from nick at Yeovil LR with forum discountG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Its more likely to be the bluetooth module itself ..the most expensive one ,
There is a LR module in there aswell that connects it all up,..if you have only had the car for a few weeks , i would take it back to the dealer .They can pull out the modules in 5 mins and plug in new ones to find which (or both ) are at faultG4 Gone ...but not forgotten
