New problem arisen

So I’ve found a stretch of motorway my disco plays up on it’s got a gradual gradient m621 from Leeds up to showcase if anyone is familiar yesterday knocked it into sport changed as should tried to use manual shift and f come up with message transmission fault some gears not available I’ll get fault codes off it today. So I know that before I bought the car they snapped the gear stick and a replacement was fitted apparently it was stuck in park and they were a little rough with it and snapped the stick. Does this replacement have to be coded or could they have set the rods wrong or any other suggestions please would be grateful thanks

Unfortunately, P0730 is a generic code and doesn’t necessarily point to anything else except “you’ve got an undefined issue” Rolling Eyes

Prior to this, did you have other transmission related codes that you might have cleared?

Don’t do any of the following unless you’re sure you know what you’re doing but…
- have you checked transmission fluid level (this is a rather involved operation, look it up)
- do you know if/when fluid has been changed

Can’t help you with the injectors, unfortunately.

If you’ve already “fixed” the TC and gearbox once by changing oil and adding a 2 pack of Dr. Tranny I’d politely suggest it’s time to replace the TC and/or do more invasive surgery on the gearbox. Although with prices of D3s being what they are in the UK it’s probably not the most economically sound choice.

Apparently the injectors look as they should think it’s more of a torque converter issue I’ll get round to it at some point probably when it breaks totally 😂😂
