Ordered mine last Thursday and arrived Friday morning - moved the seat forward removed the old DVD and inserted the new - totally easy and trouble free.

Isn't the loadspace protector designed to fit into that gap Roel, thus making it a completely flat load area?
Never tried it myself, but I am sure in the manual it mentions it.

It does fit as you say
Alternatively use an inflatable mattress that bridges the gap I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.
