You don't want main beam, you want dipped beam but some would argue you want side lights.
Whatever you choose, you don't want main beam.

If you bothered to fill out your profile, responding posters would at least have a clue to what vehicle + spec you have, without this detail, it's all guess work.
Might help if you state if you have xenons too.Mods:

Fair point Narpy. Does help doesn't it. And there was naive me thinking that all D3's would have the same wiring loom colouring.
It's a 2006 D3 HSE.
p.s. I also meant dipped and not main beam. Typo

Well I now am the proud owner of DLR's in my fog lights. And I think they look great.
They come on when the ignition is started and go off after 12 seconds when the ignition is off
Of course nothing is ever that straightforward especially as I acquired the controller unit from fleabay. The above works fine but that additional cable that connects to either dipped (not main beam ) or sidelights does nothing i.e. the DLR's do not fade when the lights come on. Hopefully the seller will send me another unit. Serves me right to buy a very cheap unit
Anyway many thanks for all that have contributed on here and got me at least an always bright DLR situation. I am well chuffed with them.

Not sure why but my F9 supply stays live for about a minute - too long for me so will have to come up with another plan
It's a 57 plate with 8A VIN if that makes a difference
Mine does too, and my DRL controller adds some time also, but it doesn't cause any issues.*D3 V8 SE Blue 2004 on LPG with Rock sliders, roof rack/Ladder, snorkel, 275/65x18 STT Muds, engine/G/box ally protection.
