Is it OK to use the Ring Xenonstar+30% 4400k H7 bulbs for Dipped beam or are they Full beam use only? Don't want to dazzle oncoming drivers .... too much
Thanks

Replacing the bloody D4 vanity bulbs with LEDs
I've converted nearly all the major interior bulbs with LEDs from AF but having a complete nightmare trying to change the vanity mirror bulbs for LED bulbs. Of all the bulbs in the D4 that need changing, then these and the reversing lights are most needy and the reversing lights were easy to replace.
I've tried everything, following others advice as posted earlier pulling fuse 57 (10A) and then inserting the replacement LED bulbs but it's just not working and as a result ultimately I've blown numerous 10A fuses!!! It appears that if I pull fuse 57 and then change ove the bulbs, then reinsert the fuse the vanity lights just don't light?! However, if I attempt to remove the LED bulbs (or even to pull out a little) they seem to light momentarily and then the fuse blows, again, arghhh!!!!!!
Are the AF vanity mirror LEDs that I'm attemptuing to fit OK, or should I be ordering different bulbs? Here are the details of the bulbs that I've ordered numerous sets of:
286 T5 LED INSTRUMENT / SUNVISOR MIRROR BULB- BRIGHT WHITE (PAIR) T5/286 Wedge dashboard LED light
Each bulb build with 1 LED - 5050SMD(3 chips)
Base: Wedge, W5W
Colour: White
Voltage: DC12V
Lumens: 20LM
Power consumption: 0.12W
If anyone has any advice how to change these bulbs, and can confirm that these are the correct bulbs, I would truely grateful to hear from you.

I have now fitted the "new" ultra bright reversing LEDs. Earlier I had the type that Steve sold prior to the ultra bright ones.
Earlier LEDs which is an improvement over stock
Compared to the new ultra bright variety which seems to be better than the earlier type
I am pleased!

I have managed to get myself confused as to the different sort of ultra bright bulbs everyone is talking about here.
Firstly which are the Ultra bright d3 side lights?
Secondly I have the black type d4 style rear lights fitted to the d3 and am wondering what the ultra bright LEDs are being fitted to these, or are they only for the d3 rear lights? Are these for reversing lamps, fogs and brake lights?
Any help would be appreciated.

Do you know when you will get more of the LEDs back in stock?
Looking to upgrade the front side lights, adaptive lights, reversing lights and get bulbs for when I detango it.
Plus its usual service kit, and some other bits.

Fresh stocks due in 10th March. Ignore all of the links on this thread as I have changed the part numbers to make it easier to identify what you need. Just go to our website, select the model you are looking at and then LED upgrades, all is explained at the top of each vehicle inspection.
Add to basket is disabled on those we are out of stock of, they will be switched on as soon as stock is inPaul Redding
