If you have a IID tool or know someone near you with one you can just switch TPMS off easy peasy  D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo
D3 HSE MY06 missing her still…

You will have trouble at mot time if your tpms system is not working. Cracking looking motor 👍 Current fleet

I've got a full year before next MoT so should be able to swap stuff around and either get TPMS working or disabled before then.

Bloody vultures  Going to try them this weekend to see if they do rub or not - ronp has mentioned that they don't always rub so need to prove either way. If they do, I will indeed be looking to sell some nice gloss black alloys with almost new Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Seasons, in 285/50 R20 116V XL, M+S spec. Cheers,

At a whisker under 6ft7” that’s a problem I have with both the D3 and D4, the later slightly more so. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
2010 D4 HSE (A bit bling)-GONE
2014 D4 HSE (Almost too bling)-GONE
2015 D4 HSE (A heated what?)-GONE

Our old D3 was fine, however it was a manual column. I'm "only" 6'2" and the D4 is useless for me.
It looks like there is about an extra inch of space between the column and instrument binacle where the old manual columns would go up, and yet the electric ones don't.

I think you need to rethink this as TPMS became mandatory on all vehicles sold after 1st November 2014
And
As of January 1, 2015, all vehicles first used after January 1, 2012, and equipped with a TPMS by the manufacturer must have a functioning system to pass its MOT. "Never keep up with the Joneses. Drag'em down to your level. It's cheaper".

No need to change the wheels if you do get rubbing, just change the tyres to 275/45/20s.
You'll get no rubbing with these (I'm currently running GG AT3s in 275/45/20) ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

I ran 265/50/20 tires for years on 45eta offset wheels. I changed to 285/50/20 tires and the alteration e in speed with larger diameter kept throwing faults so I went back to 265/50/20. RonP is the wheel / tire expert and I’m sure he’d agree that a 45 eta or slightly lower offset wheel provides the perfect stance 16 D4 Landmark

Well, I put the 285/50/20 wheel/tyre combo on at the weekend and can see it is REALLY tight. However, I'm not convinced there is any real rubbing. I suspect if I were at full lock in access mode it'd occur, however I never do that. When I testing on the path, it just about removed the top layer of dirt from the front of the chassis rail where it protrudes into the wheel arch. I was also surprised to notice there appears to be less clearance under the rear wheel-arches too, as there seems to be a bulge in the liner at the front of the arch. Again, not an apparent problem in normal of off-road height but a minor issue in access height.
I'm going to run it for a week or two and then check to see, however there have been zero noises or feelings of rubbing. I'd prefer to keep this size tyre rather than go down in profile, as the ride is less harsh (although it's all relative.)
If/when the weather allows, I'll get some photo's to share. Cheers,
