Fitted the wolfbox rear view mirror cam 15 min job so far I'm pleased with it. Recording both front and rear at the same time you can just use it as a normal mirror or switch between either or show both. Iv not connected the auto reverse wire up we font need a reversing box on a screen to reverse our cars nor have I connected the GPS antenna.

Finally got it up on the workshop ramp to have a proper look underneath.
Little list of jobs
Front/rear lower control arms
Main centre prop shaft
Surface rust on 1 sill should clean up with the sand blaster. Going to sand blast the under side, treat and seal.
Side steps are rotten.
So the usual stuff and no big surprise if I'm honest.
Iv also got the extra no 2 light switch on the dash and loom tucked up in the os wing so look like it had extra lights on the front st some point so mite look todo a light bar install

Had a spare couple of hours today so replaced the centre prop what is it with those rear bolts they just fight you every time. Think the front lower arms will be next.

Great to hear ur making progress , Good luck with the wishbones mate and that they come off easily
At least it’s not those rear uppers
Ps : Never know later this year I might be able to join u with also getting a V8 , dream motor would be a D4 5.0 V8 but prices are well out my price range, nice to dream I suppose , plus will be heartbreaking to see mine go , don’t think I’ll get much for mine , maybe 3k ??

Getting there slowly Gary mate, no idea on resale values there will be a lot of d3/4 and rrs for sale come August.
Let's see if any of the 8 legal challanges get any where.
The 5.0 suffer from timing chain issues the V8 d3 are getting less and less but are popping up for sale once in a while.
If you don't do much milage mite be worth considering a petrol sport 4.4 na or the 4.2 s/c.

Really pleased for u mate and indeed think it’s always the way when u get a new motor they’re are things to be done
Funny enough looked at the RRS engines and years they had the various petrol engines
Did wonder about that regarding the 5.0 guide issues , read that under 100k there ok, of course whether that’s true or not is another question , assume it would be a 2k job for the tensioners , but wow what a motor and certainly would be a dream motor that’s for sure
Plus why is it the RRS seem to come with add on body kits and stupid rubber bands
At the end of the day would prefer a N/A engine so don’t have to worry about turbo or superchargers

Don’t be daft @ A1GSS as indeed I thought exactly the same , is always a head scratcher of what is and isn’t available with certain models etc , LR don’t make it easy that’s for sure
