Newbie asking about new orders |
|
I'm currently in the "waiting for test drive phase" of moving towards buying a D4.
Can anyone tell me what the typical order to delivery time (UK) is at the moment. (I asked at the dealers, and they were very vague. "Could be 12 weeks, could be 16 - it all depends".)
Also when is the 2011 MY due?

From my experience it's about 12 weeks. 4 weeks to go and counting (down hopefully)

16 weeks for my commercial. Roll on September 18th. So there you have it, 12-16 weeks. Though there are reports if you want the camera system delivery could be February!!

If you want cameras on a commercial it'll be Feb, unfortunately I know that one as my order is in with a long wait ahead
Don't think that's the case with a standard car though as far as I'm aware?

I ordered mine (HSE with cameras)in early June, and was initially told it would be August build, September delivery, but this has now stretched to October. I have been told it will be in the first batch of the 11MY.
Seems like a lonnnggg wait!

Hi
My first post!
Ordered my D4 3.0 TDV6 XS - 11My Spec - with a few bits back in mid May and now have an aprox del of 15th October!!
Counting the weeks but it does give you time to reconsider your choice of colour and trim etc!!

dont forget to pay your £138 for NFU membership and get 5% off your new D4 on top of any deal already made.

Dealers have build slots booked for a particular Land Rover - for example a Discovery 4 in week 26 and so on. The specific order can be changed up to a certain amount of weeks before build ( I think it's three). When I ordered mine back in January both the dealers I negotiated with had unsold build slots in February so I had my car within eight weeks.

I wish I had been on here and someone informed of that before I bought mine!
Oh, well, may be next time.
How does that work then?
Don't suppose you can claim in retrospect?

I contacted the NFU membership dept today - one or two problems
Need to convince them you actually are a land owner, farmer or food producer.
The current scheme ends in Sept 2010.
Need to be a full member for a min of 3 months to request a discount voucher.
The discount arrangement must be declaired before commencement of negotiations with dealer!
However it was worth a try as we have dealers in the North of England offering little or no discount.
Also spoke to dealer today about the 2011MY Spec who advised that they were not presently aware of any changes.
