That’s a good option. What’s best to use? What about electric contact cleaner or does I have to be more specific? Like air flow sensor cleaner

There's 3 things they try in the Powerful video although it doesn't work in their case.
Brake cleaner, WD electric contact cleaner and Wynns EGR cleaner. Gary

Ok, bit the bullet and used a contact cleaner on it, would have liked to use the air flow sensor cleaner but can only get it on line and the local indi said try the contact cleaner.
So gave it a good spray let it dry for an hour popped it back in and attacked the hill that I use everyday where the restricted power mode displays as soon as I start to climb it. full revs ...shot up the hill like a rat up a drain pipe, no warning, turned it around gunned it again and light back on.
Hmmm. Makes me think it could be the maf sensor so going to the indi tomorrow to see if they have one I can pop on take for a test drive see if that’s the issue

That was the first port of call the map sensor, full of gunk, took it out cleaned it and no restricted performance light for a whole 24hrs , great driving then back on the light came.

Cracked manifold - makes sense to change both whilst he’s at it £800-£1000 bonus.
Even with a full service history mostly lr it’s been in the garage every month I’ve had it and I’ve only owned it 3 months.
Ouch!
