No compass view in 4 x 4 info screen

When you are in 4 x 4 mode on the dash screen, if I try to operate the compass instead of the default wheel status, it always comes back with 'compass mode not available'. How do you get the compass mode to turn on? It deos work on SatNav but not in 4x4 mode. Am I doing something wrong, or is it one of those functions that is not available?

Ah, cunning! I was just going straight into the 4x4 mode and wondering why it would not work. Very Happy

Many thanks Bodsy

Well, tried it over the weekend on the lakes trip and still cannot get it to work Sad I put it in off road navigation then switched to 4x4 info, but still comes up as 'compass not available'

Does this work with anyones satnav?

works with mine
but when I switch engine off and on again, I have to put navigation to off-road again before compass is available in 4x4 view

Works with mine.

Off road nav mode, show the compass on there, then go to 4x4 info and then select it from there (instead o fthe wheels, shows the compass)

Hi, on my one you need to select an offroad navigation screen that has the compass on it, then you will see the compass on the 4x4 info screen.

Yep I agree - you know how in the on-road nav there is an option to display split screen? (it's an icon towards the bottom-left of the screen which gives you different options to show full screen, split screen etc.)

When you are in off-road navigation mode, the same icon will allow you to display split screen, or split with compass, etc. Once you have displayed the compass on this mode, go into 4x4 info and see if the problem is cured.

Cheers Hernan1304, that fixed it for me, I've been puzzling over this one myself for a few days now. Thumbs Up
