Hi,
SWMBO is out and about tonight.......... she just called to say the Radio is on but no volume working...... buttons do not work to select different stations.....press CD and it changes but no playing...........Also the Sat Nav Screen isnt working.
Now, when she got home from School, after cleaning the house and getting tea ready before she went out, she hoovered the car out. Could she have done something with the nozzle?. She said she just done the mats and carpets but who knows....
Also done a restart...

Isn't this something that a hard reset (battery disconnected) has been known to resolve in the past I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

Yep ..or you could remove the fuse ..or you can do a hard reset from the Stereo itself
Just suggested those connections first as there about the only ones accesable with a hoover ...well there is the ones under the drivers seat aswell ..check those too G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Just possibly, your wife didn't let it go sufficiently "to sleep' before restarting.

Mine does this every few months. Really annoying. Usually OK again next day.
It is worse when it won't turn off as you get a flat battery then end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

I've seen something similar on my Audi A4. The static from hoovering upsets the radio and it needs the fuse pulled to reset it. Disconnecting the battery would have the same effect.
Different car, but might be worth a try!
