yep they don't seem very reliable, don't know if it's just the fibre transmitter that fails, I still have my old one, should try and fix it some time.

Thanks gearmuncher. From the amp I have no light coming out but a light going in. From the head unit no light in but a light going out. Then I guess I’ll try this second hand amp.

Is there any way to have the amp fixed? The car only has 56,000 miles and has barely had a rear seat passenger, the amp looks brand new! No idea of the history of the second hand one I’m getting....

Hi, I have an amp for sale. If you buy it and it doesnt fix it I'm happy for you to return it as long as you cover postage costs.

Thanks for the offer Paul, much appreciated. The car is in Norway just now and the amp only 20 miles away from me in Oslo. If it’s no good I may take you up on the offer when I’m back in the UK or if I can get it posted at a reasonable cost.

I’m going on a large Norway road trip Friday so time is tight. I brought the car from Scotland to Norway last week..... with no radio....

get the right part number, logic 7 will not work in high line cars, it has 12 channels and the phone sound comes out on channels that are not connected to anything.

Had the same issue looped all the fibre cables and still not working , turned out to be a faulty radio unit

Same issue

After audio failing on the 2005 Discovery 3 and after trying the advice from the forum, I booked the car in to do software updates. I did this because of one thread comment which suggested the phone module as a potential issue, specifically a similar problem that someone had re using Bluetooth. However, the garage was able to identify a fault, but the update persistently failed to complete. They have suggested that the only fix would be to replace the entire head unit. Has anyone had this issue occur, or does anyone have any suggestion on how this might be fixed? My thought being that the inability to do a software update / firmware update is independent of the bug. Perhaps there is some full factory reset that can be performed as is the case with most computer systems - as in a way to start with a clean slate? Thanks for any thoughts ‘ shared experience.

Radio - no sound

I have a similar intermittent issue with the radio, i also had a problem with the cab blower not working and changed the R16 relay, now works fine, does the radio have a similar relay and which one is it? Thanks
