Don't know, as I have a poor person D3, in that you'd have to push the dash button and the tailgate together and same with key fob if set that way in button 3, has the 4 key a specific boot button live our Golf?

Mine has a specific boot button and the D4 has keyless start so the key never leaves my pocket.
