I have a 60plate D4 12000miles, over the last few weeks I am hearing a noise coming from the left side of the engine that I can only explain as type of tappet rattle, it happens when you push the throttle down, and also when the cruise control res button is pressed.
Is this a common noise or shall I go to the dealer?

hope its not pre ignition..get it checked It is better to have and not need it then need and not have it.
