North Eastern Land Rover
Hi
Has anyone used North Eastern Land Rover in Portrack Lane, Stockton on Tees please.
I am interested in their ability not only to Service my Disco 3 but also to diagnose faults etc
Any recommendations/opinions would be helpful good and bad
Thanks very much

I’ve got no experience with them personally but I have heard of others who have used them. Suffice to say, I have never taken my car there.Bri
My old D1 V8 got put in there by the garage I normally use as it was not running properly. they returned it and stated the Dizzy was 180 deg out and now sorted.
no it wasn't and there was no way the dizzy could be 180 deg out. I eventually found the fault was lambda sensor on exhaust not sealing. new set of cats and all was good.
never been near them since.
if you want a good one travel a bit further. at Washington you have spanner monkeys very good at sorting things. and I believe there is a couple of other good indi's up that way

I seem to recall that Mastoro in Alnwick got some positive comments. I only ever used them once to check some damage after I skidded and confirm that the car was still driveable, but others may have more experience.2014 - D4 2010 HSE Nara Bronze
2012 - FL2 2009 GS Stornoway Grey
2001 - VW Passat Estate Inky Blue
1999 - Ford Mondeo Light Blue
1998 - Rover 25 Red
Mastora are great though not as close to OP as others mentionedPaul.

In my 3 experiences with them they've bent over backwards to help me.
Granted the first 2 occasions were new keys and programming (2 different cars) which isn't rocket science, but they were quick, reasonably priced and did the job there and then when I rolled up outside despite having a garage full of work.
3rd time was an upgraded compressor. Old one was on the way out and I was running out of time to replace it so I had it booked in there for an upgrade with a few weeks lead time due to a full diary on their part. In the meantime the old one burned out and took the fuse with it, so on their advice I gave them a call "if it got any worse" and they squeezed me in next morning and had the job done in a few hours. Price was more than a DIY job, but you'd expect that.
Got a service booked in a couple of weeks so we'll see how that goes.***GONE*** 2007 XS Manual in Wet Weekend (Stornoway Grey) ***GONE***

Really well. Got a quote in advance to do the big service and change the air tank while it was in.
The final bill was less than the quote because they managed to get someone to do the tank in parallel to the other bits so they saved some time. That’s always a nice surprise. They noticed the rubber on the rear prop bearing is on the way out but didn’t push for me to have it done in a hurry. Just advice.
If I was forced to pick fault, they changed my wiper blades as part of the service but the old ones were 6 month old Bosch ones. Hardly a deal breaker though since they did the back one too which saved my knuckles.
The tank and the service cost a little north of £450 if I remember correctly, which is a shade better than the £800-£900 I paid out to a different, nameless garage, when I had the 100k service done along with new oil in the diffs and boxes
In short, I will be using them again.***GONE*** 2007 XS Manual in Wet Weekend (Stornoway Grey) ***GONE***

Thanks for the update
I'm in the market for a new torque convertor so may give them a call.
