Looking for any good recommendations for sites in that area, my better half and I would like a caravan holiday close to the beach without the crowds of club sites next to busy resorts etc.. but still close enough not to feel isolated Confused

We have 4 children varying from 3 to 14 - we like well looked after sites which we can relax in of an evening and yet we do like to be near some entertainment for the kids (not banging clubs - with Rory the frigging tiger).

I have looked at Gwithian sites next to beach - small village not far from St.Ives (perfect) but all booked. Some below St. Ives - but seem to be inland and rather - erm - too quiet!

Probably asking too much - any help welcome!

Theres a place just south of Gwithian but the name escapes me.

Its on Phillack hill.

Thanks bigdave - I will have a look now, I have no idea of the area so I google earthed the coast line looking for tin tent sites (which are pretty obvious) and then I street viewed areas - but really need recommendations. Thumbs Up

That's the one dubbs - last week they did have some pitches available 18th Aug - just didnt suit our timing.
I wanted to go back to Barmouth in Wales - but better half want more more sun further south!
