I went for the 2.0 240.... the performance difference is marginal, better MPG, cheaper, a touch noisier to be fair but not so much in the cabin as to be annoying....surprisingly, a very good drive.

I’ve never tried the 2.0. Though it’s what I’ve went for in my Velar. One thing with the 2.0 is it doesn’t seem to have the service warning issue like the 3.0.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

That comes as standard via Connect Pro services ...basically you use your phone app to turn it on.
I had a 2 litre on test for a couple of days & i couldn't notice much different really.Filming something somewhere...

The 2.0 is subject to the oil dilution issue isn't it?Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Seems to be the 3.0 in the D5 due to DPF from what I read on the other side

Are the dealers being generous with their PX allowance and discounts?Discovery 4 HSE

I too like the D5, but not enough buy one. I’ve decided to wait and see what the Defender replacement looks like and costs before making a decision. However, if someone were to give me a D5 for free I wouldnt refuse it either LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

The DS seems to have the issue but so far no D5s fitted with the 2.0 have been reported with this issue. Also my dealer has yet to see a Velar with the issue either, not to say it won’t though.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

D4 PX is on the floor all around tbh...the new model and diesel misgivings meant I only had back a few grand above MFGV, which tbh I was expecting from pre-haggle research. As this is my 6th motor off them I had some options thrown in and a decent discount above the standard offerings.
We were there for 3.5 hours and the showroom was absolutely packed throughout ...certainly no shortage of potential buyers.
