If I got a heads up display for the windscreen, some talk of plugging into the cars obd2 system. Is this ok, and where is it ?

It’s accessible under the steering wheel. If the dongle is large you’ll end up kicking it eventually. Like when driving with an IID BT connected
Sorry, no idea about what is a good aftermarket HUD.

Had one the same as the Halfrauds one it worked via the OBD port as it should,
But
Hardware, you're right any sunlight on screen and you can't see it.

That optional feature pack also gauges distance to the curb and other vehicles, gives instant feedback on how you park and drive in general, etc.

Try a pair of sunglasses personally I’d like to see some sunshine as I haven’t seen any for the last 3 months or so It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
