| Offroad route between Port Nolloth and Alexander Bay |

My wife and I recently toured Southern Namibia in our D3. What a blast. We so enjoy a) Namibia and b) our D3.
For our next trip we would like to explore the offroad route between Port Nolloth and Alexander Bay. It runs to the west of the R382. I've looked at it on Google Earth, the route seems very sandy and remote. But I can't pick up any other references to it on the internet. Is it doable? Does anyone know the route?
After Alexander Bay we plan to follow the Orange River, explore the Richtersveld for a few days and then end up at Noordoever before coming home to CT on the N7
