Nice way to start a holiday break, leave the D4 in a workshop and hire a car.
Just found oil in the coolant, it looks like transmission oil so I have had the transmission oil tested and it appears to date no coolant ingress
How ever I have been losing coolant, any history with the V8 VF 6 speed box on the forum.
The current engine oil is no longer golden it would have come up black so I'm ruling the head gasket out for the moment .
Any input appreciated, I have ordered a new transmission oil cooler, still have missing coolant issue to solve?
A second search has found me a relevant answer, now looking for measuring tape to guage depth of pockets this month! Ex D3 2008 HSE owner in UK, a part of the family let go to the Autotrader orphanage
