Oil cooler
My local dealer has just replaced the engine oil cooler, to cure a slight but continuous loss of coolant, which started earlier this year following the car's first service. The dealer who carried out the service was unable to locate the leak after two attempts I can see they have had the sump shield off, as there is a bolt missing!! But can see no evidence of any other work.
Can someone explain where the oil cooler is located on a 2015MY.3.0 SDV6

The oil cooler is under the oil filter, item Nr. 11.
How serious is/was your loss of coolant? How often did you have to top up and how much?

The level has dropped slowly from just below the "max" line to now under the minimum in approx
4k miles. I cant see any evidence of the oil cooler being disturbed despite the dealer stating supply and replace oil cooler. the work was done about 400 miles ago, interestingly the coolant level was exactly at the same (minimum level) before and after the work was done. At the moment it looks as if the level may still be falling!
