Oil / Gearbox Leak

Just want to confirm my suspicion and see if anyone spots any other culprits here.

Used D3 tdv6,, 80k miles, pulled the undertrays to be greeted with what looks like a long-running leak or leaks.

First culprit appears to be the gearbox seal, I know this requires removing the entire gearbox.

Does the rest of this mess just look like years of spray and build-up or more busted seals or worse? Driveshaft and sump gaskets as well? Absolute nothing mentioned in service history or MOT with the last service only 8 months and 3k miles ago.

Autobox seal

The surrounding indiscriminate mess of oil and fluids.

Best option is (IMHO) to clean it all up (don’t use steam anywhere near any electrics!!! ) and then run it for a few miles and see if any of the leaks reappear… could save yourself a lot of time and money rather than diving straight in!
I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

I don’t see a gearbox oil leak here. They usually leak at the rear.

Trouble with engine oil leaks, then can start high up and drip down.
These engines can leak high up at the back of the engine and then it all drains down.

As said clean up with news/packaging paper and brake cleaner and reinspect a few weeks later.

Get under the car on drivers side near fuel filter. Look up high with torch for the rear of engine. Is it dripping off the brake vacuum pump or the cam cover can leak here.

Also check it’s not flooded in the top Vee of the engine by oil filter and cooler.
