Oil Leaks
Have my 2011 LHD D4 heading back to dealer post COVID for looking at an oil leak.
First noticed a leak under the crankshaft aux belt flywheel after I got her, and was put down to oil being spilled during the service oil change.
Was apparently ‘cleaned up’ but I noticed oil again after a couple hundred km, and reported it but workshop went COVID.
Now post COVID, and I’ve had another look, and still got oil there
But I’ve also got oil at the seam on the oil extraction tubing (next to oil sensor connector)
And back toward the gearbox casing at the back of the engine; roughly where what I think is the motor for the centre diff lock
Now, the timing belt was done in 2018, the they did aN LR gearbox flush and filter change in February, following which they ‘cleaned the engine of spilt oil’ in March.
Done maybe 500km in 3 months with the lockdown, and the oil is wet.
Despite the bad photography, anyone any thought I can throw at them?
Many thanks

As an update, of sorts, took the car to LR, and techs can’t find anything, even after a few hundred KM.
Not desperately comfortable to accept a car with an unidentified leak,
Any thoughts?2011 D4 XS : LHD

With the monkeys in the workshops these days if it doesn't show a code they can't track down a fault even when they can see it

i get a little oil coming through that hole on the bottom of the belt cover always had oil in the area but never leaked any further than a misting on the steering rack, when i did the cam belt last year expected to find it very oily but was pretty dry behind the cover and the oil looked to be coming from some sort of green oil seal between the head and inlet manifold any way i cleaned it up last year hasn't got any worse since so as its not getting on the belt i left it until it gets to be a problem
I've also got the same misting on the bell housing same scenario doesn't drip on the bash plate so just keep an eye on itplease excuse any grammer/punctuation mistakes,i'm thick, thankyou

Thanks both.
It’s sort of under warranty; had a three month warranty to cover ‘everything’, and oil leak claimed within that, but due to COVID etc we are now 6 months in.
No codes in IID, so sadly nothing to pin-point easily, but that just means whatever is leaking isn’t triggering an abnormal sensor reading.
Dealership have said to watch it a while and they’ll recheck, but they are reluctant to just start replacing stuff without knowing where to target.
They are a main dealer, the only LR dealer here, but surprisingly they only offer the legal 3 month minimum warranty on approved cars, despite the LR usual of 1 year?
My belief is that they will stand by their agreement to cover this once found, but if we can’t find the leak .... then what to do?2011 D4 XS : LHD
