Incomplete DPF cycles dumping back into the oil is my guess. Change the oil to be sure Smile

Presume this is new ( ie previously it had been full but not ' overfilled ')?
Is your car in the normal position you check it , and not on a slope? There have been reports of oil gauge/ level sender issues causing variations in oil level to be shown on the forum, so do a search for that.
On my adblue model (I know yours isn't ) the oil can become over filled when a number of DPF regen cycles fail over time and the extra diesel used is dumped into the oil if it doesn't complete. I'm assuming, that this is also possible with pre ad blue models. DPF regens are more likely to been curtailed by short runs.
If you have a Gap IID tool, you can check oil dilution calculated percentage. Its in the Live values , Engine section. Over 6 percent and the car calls for a service. You can also see miles to next service in this section ( also affected by oil dilution)
In the meantime, you could take some oil out ( and recheck) or you could do an oil change if it's been a while since last done to get fresh oil into it, in case it's been diluted. Vacuum pump extractor is great for removing oil to save undoing sump drain.
Interested to know we what you find.
Good luck sorting.

Hi guys. Think I have sorted it.
I changed the oil 2 weeks ago but when I check after I don't leave it long.
Put a small amount in before heading off to cornwall then checked at the site. But the car was not level.
Took 100ml out and level is now 2 bars from full.
So overfill has gone off service display.
Must off just slightly over filled it
Thanks guys
Mike
