Oil Pressure Issues

Now then team.

Me again.

Having Oil Pressure issues with my 3.0….. See attached pics. I’ve changed Oil and Filter and upgraded Oil to 5/40. This was a long shot but didn’t work.
I’ve then changed the Oil Pump but the issue is still there.

Basically it’s got pressure at cold start but it gradually drops as it gets warm right down to 0.1 Bar after 20mins.

I fear the worst but hoping someone else has had a similar issues and has rectified.

Thanks in advance.

I bought one last year that ended up with what looks likes a similar issue, the guys on here gave me loads of advise and things to check. Blocked oil pick up pipe, failed oil cooler, faulty oil pressure switch (wont be that as you've measured it) and few other things it could be, have a search on here for my thread there was loads of advise. Unfortunately I believe my issue was down to worn bearings and the engine was on its last legs (I sold mine with the known issue as I already had one in pieces at the time), hopefully yours wont be that but you should be prepared for the possibility;ity of an engine rebuild!!

Ok thanks.

Yeah I fear the worst.

Was thinking pick up, etc should be ok seeing as it’s has pressure until it’s warm. Surely if they were blocked then it wouldn’t have any at all… 🤔

That’s a replacement engine I put in as I bought the car with a siezed engine as a project but it’s inevitably grown arms and legs as these things do.

Best of it is it runs sweet as a nut and drives really well. Was pretty much ready for MOT. Done all belts, etc and had the sump off when engine was out and was all good in there. Also had Oil n Filter done of course with filter from Advanced Factors so that should also not be an issue.

Wonder how much I’d get for it…. 2010 RRS if anyone wants if?? 👀🤦‍♂️
