Oil pressure warning light
Hi this is my first time on this forum so il be grateful for any help / advice!
I have just bought a 2015 LR4 HSE SDV6 I collected it from the dealer driven home all ok.
Started the car the next morning and have noticed the oil pressure warning light stays on when you start it for around 3 seconds then goes out, is this normal? It doesn't come on when driving and oil level is ok.
If started again after driving it doesn't do it so seems to be only when left for a while/cold.
Thanks for your help

welcome.......my view would be it take three seconds to get up to pressure...oil will start from the pump right away.so lubication should be ok for that sort time...take it back to dealer ..ask him ..what is mileage ?

I contacted him and he said 'sounds strange it drove fine'..Im just trying to gauge if this is normal or not before I take this further and interested to see what other peoples are like! just don't want it seizing up due to lack of oil pressure!!

My light goes off straight away, but my cold ambient temperatures are 5-10°C, and no different with high ambient temperatures (>40°C).
I wonder what oil it has in the engine? I run 5W-30 year round.MY14 TDV6

The D4 oil pressure light doesn't come on, unless the pressure has been low for around 5 seconds or so...
If your seeing the pressure warning light at all, there is an issue...My D3 Build Thread
