Oil pump, belts ect replacement
Hey guys, new to this forum here. Not log owned an 06 D3, I’m looking to get the oil pump, belts (front and back) and tensioners done. Can anyone recommend a good garage/mechanic around the hampshire area? I’ve phoned a few garages yesterday and today and some people just don’t want to know. Some ‘specialist’ telling me that they’ve never heard of the oil pump casing cracking or sheering? Have they been living under a rock all these years? As I’ve had one less than a month and that was the first thing I learnt!!

don’t know if they cover ur area , but flack and geoff. do cam belt weekends
very well respected and know there D3-D4s
suprising how many garages say “ yes sir the body has to come off which is a load of “

Ah, excellent! Thankyou gstuart! Looking to get the oil pump, both belts and tensioners done. Pain the the back side trying to find someone to do it who you actually trust lol

i’m always convinced some garages say the body needs to come off in order to get some more work , or they don’t have a clue, even my local garage said to me said it’s impossible to replace the rear belt without the body coming off
ur find everyone here extremely helpful and knowledgeable
plenty of myths , like the mpg display actually being accurate , AKA, the liemeter
