Not sure if this is the right section.
I have the usual oil leak somewhere from the engine, it's dropped on to the driveway, block's not concrete or tarmac. anyone got good recommendations for something to clean it off. 🤔

Quote: the usual oil leak
Usual ? 12 years of owing a D3 & a D4 + another 8 of a D2 & never had an oil leak; I would say they are UNusual.

I've had a td5 and a discovery 3 both had very minor oil leaks I must be the unusual one
There's not enough for the need to use cat litter but will try brake cleaner.

Boring sensible answer but Halfords and the like sell "driveway cleaner" for that kind of thing. the other alternative for something you probably already have is washing up liquid and scrub with a broom. Disco 3: Lotus Elise S1: Ferguson T20: Audi A2

I have tried gunk drive cleaner not very effective.
My mechanic has had a look it seems to be the auto box it's leaking from around the electronic switch on the bottom of the pan, will get it fixed with a new filter and service more expense.
